Burley is a tobacco widely used in blends, it is often found mixed with Virginia, but unlike Virginia, Burley has low residual sugars and has a pleasant nutty note as well as absorbing other added aromas very well. Originally this tobacco came from Cuban tobacco plants, but over the centuries they have become very different. Burley flavor can be used in any blend, from those with Latakia, Perique, Balkani, Aromatics with Black Cavendish, Turkish or Virginia.
